In a recent social media post that has captured widespread attention, Pakistani Instagram user Ali Khan has shed light on the concerning conditions aboard Pakistan International Airlines (PIA). Known for its troubled reputation and past European Union ban, PIA is once again under scrutiny after Khan shared a video highlighting the dismal state of its aircraft.

In the video, Khan describes his flight experience as “one of the most dangerous flights in the world,” a sentiment echoed by the video’s visuals. As he boarded the flight, Khan was instructed by cabin crew not to record inside the aircraft. Despite this, he managed to capture disturbing footage of the flight’s interior.

The video reveals seats covered in dust, broken seat handles, and overhead bins held together with duct tape. Khan also mentioned that the pilot was notably interactive with passengers, sharing interesting facts about Skardu, the destination of the flight. However, the poor state of the plane overshadowed these positive interactions.

Khan, who traveled on PIA after over a decade, expressed his concerns and excitement about visiting the Northern Areas of Pakistan, a bucket-list destination for him. He shared the video on Instagram with the caption, “Pakistan has a troubled reputation in the world… It doesn’t help when your national carrier is also banned from an entire continent. But I decided to go on a PIA flight for the first time in over a decade to go to the Northern Areas of Pakistan. An absolute bucket list location for me. I’m so excited to take y’all with me.”

Since its upload earlier this month, the video has garnered more than 761,000 views and over 16,000 likes. Viewer reactions have varied, with some expressing concern for Khan’s safety while others have voiced strong criticisms of the airline. One viewer commented, “Watching this clip and hearing what you said about the Airlines gave me heart palpitations. But no doubt about the beauty you witnessed and God bless you for the risk you took to see it.”

Another user remarked, “Pakistan Airlines? I would never even consider, let alone get anywhere near one of their planes.”
