The dividend windfall comes after Infosys announced its fourth-quarter financial results, declaring a total dividend of ₹28 per share, comprising a final dividend of ₹20 and a special dividend of ₹8. This announcement translates to a significant earning for Ekagrah Rohan Murty, who owns a 0.04% stake in Infosys through his 15 lakh shares.
The payment of the final dividend and special dividend is scheduled for May 31, with disbursement slated for July 1, according to Infosys.
Ekagrah Rohan Murty, born on November 10 in Bengaluru, is the son of Rohan Murty and Aparna Krishnan. Rohan Murty, with a PhD in computer science from Harvard University, oversees the software firm Soroco, while Aparna Krishnan leads Murty Media. Ekagrah Rohan Murty is the third grandchild of Narayana Murthy and Sudha Murthy.
This financial development underscores the substantial holdings and wealth within the Murthy family, with Akshata Murty, daughter of Narayana Murthy, owning a 1.05% stake in Infosys, Sudha Murthy holding 0.93%, and Rohan Murty possessing 1.64% as of the December quarter.
