Japan has introduced an innovative concept that combines hygiene with relaxation—a “human washing machine” that cleans and dries the body in just 15 minutes. Developed by the Japanese company Science Co., the revolutionary machine, named Mirai Ningen Sentakuk, is expected to change the way people approach personal hygiene.
The Mirai Ningen Sentakuk is an AI-powered washing device that offers a spa-like experience, designed to not only cleanse but also relax the user. The machine uses high-speed water jets and microscopic air bubbles that burst upon contact with the skin, effectively removing dirt and impurities. What sets this invention apart is its ability to personalize the wash cycle based on the user’s skin type and physical condition, ensuring a tailored experience for every individual.
The process begins when the user steps into a transparent pod, which fills halfway with warm water. As the water jets activate, they release tiny bubbles that burst against the skin, creating a deep-cleaning effect. Throughout the experience, AI technology monitors the user’s vital signs and adjusts the water pressure and temperature to maximize comfort.
In addition to physical cleansing, the machine is designed with the user’s mental well-being in mind. The AI also analyses the user’s emotional state and projects calming visuals onto the interior of the pod, offering a soothing experience meant to relax the mind as well as the body.
The Mirai Ningen Sentakuk is inspired by a similar concept presented in the 1970s by Sanyo Electric. However, this modern version has been significantly enhanced with AI capabilities, ensuring a more efficient and personalized experience. The machine is set to debut at the Osaka Expo 2025, where 1,000 attendees will have the chance to experience it firsthand. Following the trial period, the company plans to enter mass production, with future plans for a home-use edition.
Reservations for the innovative device are already being accepted through the company’s website. According to Yasuaki Aoyama, the chairman of Science Co., the product is “about 70 per cent there,” and they are planning to offer 1,000 general visitors the chance to use the machine during the Expo.
This futuristic innovation promises to redefine personal hygiene routines by combining technology, comfort, and relaxation, potentially revolutionizing the way people approach body care in the future.
