Real estate magnate Brigade Group is gearing up for a significant venture in North Bengaluru’s Yelahanka region, unveiling plans for a mammoth ₹2,100 crore housing project. In a strategic partnership with landowners Krishna Priya Estates and Micro Labs, Brigade Enterprises, a unit of Brigade Group, sealed a joint agreement to develop a sprawling residential complex spanning 14 acres. The envisioned project encompasses a staggering two million square feet and promises to deliver a residential marvel befitting the prime location.

Pavitra Shankar, the Managing Director of Brigade Enterprises Ltd, expressed confidence in the project, highlighting the expected revenue realization of ₹2,100 crore upon its completion. “We will create a wonderful residential development worthy of the marquee location,” Shankar affirmed, underscoring the grandeur and potential of the forthcoming endeavor.

Meanwhile, in a separate development showcasing Karnataka’s infrastructure ambitions, the state government has allocated a substantial ₹4,119 crore for the construction of a new greenfield port. Port operator JSW Infrastructure clinched a pivotal contract from the government to establish the Keni Port in Karnataka, operating under a public-private partnership framework.

The awarded project aims to create a port capable of accommodating cape-size vessels, ensuring year-round operability with deep-water capabilities. Initially designed to handle 30 million tonnes per annum (MTPA), the port harbors future scalability potential for significant expansion. Positioned strategically on the west coast in the North Karnataka region, the Keni Port aims to serve a broad spectrum of industries in areas such as Bellary, Hosapete, Hubballi, Kalaburagi, and South Maharashtra.

JSW Infrastructure affirmed that the Keni Port project will be a greenfield, multi-cargo, direct berthing facility, equipped to manage diverse cargo types. The development signifies a substantial step forward in bolstering Karnataka’s infrastructural landscape and economic growth potential.

These ambitious undertakings by Brigade Group and the Karnataka government herald a new phase of development, emphasizing the region’s commitment to fostering robust infrastructure and real estate progress.
