According to her viral post on X (formerly Twitter), the victims were deceived into paying exorbitant bills at specific venues, including a club named Godfather in Andheri West.

The scam operates with a seemingly straightforward but highly manipulative method. Victims are encouraged to meet at high-end establishments like Pizza Express or Metro, where the scammer, often a woman, orders expensive items such as cocktails and hookah. The men are not shown a menu or informed about the total cost beforehand. Once the bill arrives, which can run into thousands, the scammer quickly absconds, leaving the victim to deal with the hefty charges. In some cases, bouncers are reportedly used to intimidate or coerce the victim into paying.

One of the posted bills shows a charge of ₹61,743, including two cocktails priced at ₹5,000 each. The viral thread has garnered significant attention, with over four million views, highlighting the seriousness of the scam and prompting a wave of reactions.
