In a world where success hinges on effective communication, hearing clearly is of paramount importance. Devyansh Misra, a young and compassionate social entrepreneur, understands the significance of this better than most. With a decade of experience and unwavering dedication, Devyansh has dedicated his life to raising awareness and making a difference in the lives of individuals with hearing impairments.

Devyansh’s journey into the world of hearing impairment began at a young age when he volunteered with the Starkey Hearing Foundation. This global organization is committed to helping the underprivileged access treatment and hearing aids. Devyansh’s involvement with the foundation culminated in a groundbreaking event on October 26, 2018, when a Guinness World Record was set for testing and fitting 4,840 patients with hearing aids in just eight hours in Pune, India. This event not only left a lasting impact on him but also motivated him to do more.

Driven by a desire to create a positive change in the world, Devyansh Misra founded Wishtown in 2020 which closely works with Swaroop Charitable Foundation. Under his leadership, the foundation has become a beacon of hope for those struggling with hearing impairments in India. The organization’s mission is to identify beneficiaries, provide primary hearing screenings, infection screenings, and distribute hearing aids to those in need.

On typical mission days, the foundation serves an impressive 500-600 beneficiaries, thanks to the dedication of Devyansh and his team. Beyond the act of distributing hearing aids, they focus on optimizing resources through negotiations with vendors and caterers. Additionally, the foundation maintains a meticulously organized database of over 120,000 recipients, ensuring that the assistance provided is ongoing and effective. Devyansh and his team also offer essential counseling and follow-up services to support the overall well-being of the individuals they assist.

The Swaroop Charitable Foundation has distributed hearing aids valued at approximately 35 million dollars, a testament to Devyansh’s unyielding commitment to this cause. He recognizes that hearing impairment is a problem that affects a significant portion of India’s population, with approximately 63 million people facing significant auditory impairment. “I wish to build a consciousness in society to treat this problem more seriously,” Devyansh asserts. He understands that a lack of awareness and financial challenges often lead to undiagnosed and untreated hearing impairments. Early diagnosis and a more open approach can lead to better outcomes and save precious time for those in need.

Apart from his remarkable contributions to the field of hearing impairment, Devyansh has excelled across multiple industries, including IT, healthcare, and manufacturing. As a testament to his entrepreneurial spirit, he leads Whishnap, a company that has achieved remarkable success under his guidance.

Since August 2020, Wishtown, under Devyansh’s leadership, has achieved numerous milestones. They secured a prestigious Pan India distributorship with ALIMCO, enabling participation in government tenders for motorized tricycles, wheelchairs, and artificial limbs. Wishtown’s journey began with modest purchases, but they managed to generate revenue by retailing sanitizers and PPE kits, which further showcases their adaptability and dedication.

Through strategic collaborations with well-established jewelers and wholesale traders in Delhi, they excelled in the realm of B2B, amassing significant revenue. Their commitment to diversification led to import and customization of mid-level hearing aids and trimmers, further contributing to their impressive financial success.

Devyansh Misra’s remarkable journey from a young volunteer to a successful social entrepreneur is a testament to his unwavering commitment to making the world a better place. With the Swaroop Charitable Foundation, he has brought the gift of hearing to countless individuals, providing them with opportunities and a path to success that might have otherwise been unattainable. His dedication to this noble cause continues to inspire and uplift those who have the privilege of working alongside him.
