The incident occurred on Wednesday, prompting the diversion of the aircraft as a precautionary measure to ensure the safety of both passengers and crew, according to SAS spokesperson Oystein Schmidt.

The passenger who discovered the mouse, Jarle Borrestad, shared the unusual experience on Facebook, stating, “Believe it or not, a lady next to me at SAS opened the food and a mouse jumped out.” He also noted that while the incident was surprising, passengers remained calm throughout the ordeal. Following a few hours of delay in Copenhagen, the passengers resumed their journey to Malaga on a replacement aircraft.
This incident is part of a string of recent rodent-related disruptions in travel. Last week, a train service in southern England was halted due to two squirrels refusing to leave a carriage.
