Realme to Shut Down Business Operations in Germany Amidst Legal Battle with Nokia

In another blow to Chinese smartphone makers in Europe, Realme, a major rival to Samsung in the mid-range smartphone segment, has announced its imminent exit from the German market. This move follows the recent departures of OPPO, OnePlus, and Vivo from Germany, as Chinese brands face increasing challenges in the region. The decision comes as a result of an ongoing legal battle with Nokia, which also led to Vivo’s withdrawal from the country.

Realme Germany representatives confirmed to NextPit that the company is set to close its business operations in Germany. The dispute with Nokia has prompted Realme to redirect its resources to other European markets, aiming to mitigate the losses resulting from its departure from the German market.

While Realme is withdrawing from Germany, it intends to maintain its presence in other core European markets.
