READ WHAT DR SOUMIK CHATTERJEE HAS TO SAY ABOUT BLACK COHOSH HERB
Black cohosh, a traditional plant that grows in dense, shady forests in eastern parts of North America, has recently acquired appeal as a postmenopausal hot flash and night sweat cure. In a newly released article, the young endocrine specialist from South Kolkata, Dr. Soumik Chatterjee, who has been honoured with the National Excellence Award for his creative contribution to healthcare, described what black cohosh is and how it helps to lessen postmenopausal symptoms. According to Dr. Soumik, black cohosh has recently received a lot of support as a treatment for postmenopausal hot flashes and night sweats. “For more than 40 years, the plant has been used extensively in Europe to treat menstrual discomfort, painful menstruation, and menopausal symptoms. I’ve made an effort to highlight all all the possible benefits and risk associated with it” Dr Soumik added.
Dr. Chatterjee says, “ Majority of over-the-counter drugs for postmenopausal hot flushes have the potential to cause cancer and should only be taken under a qualified doctor’s prescription.” Given the findings of the majority of clinical investigations, black cohosh may be regarded as a secure and reliable substitute for menopausal women who are unable or unable to utilise hormonal replacement therapy. Black cohosh can, however, interact with other prescription drugs, vitamins, and some foods. A health care practitioner should be consulted regarding potential interactions.
