In a heartwarming gesture of gratitude and appreciation for his dedicated employees, the owner of a pharmaceutical company in Haryana, MK Bhatia, has gifted brand new Tata Punch cars to 12 of his staff members ahead of Diwali. A video capturing the moment when the keys to the cars were handed over has gone viral on social media, showcasing the chairman’s recognition of his employees’ hard work and dedication.
MitsKart, a company founded by MK Bhatia a few years ago, has witnessed both challenges and successes, and these 12 employees have stood by him throughout the journey, contributing significantly to the company’s growth.
The heartening video, shared on Mr. Bhatia’s LinkedIn page, shows one of the employees standing beside the newly unveiled Tata Punch car at the showroom. Speaking to reporters about his thoughtful gesture, Mr. Bhatia expressed his desire to make his employees feel special and valued, akin to celebrities. He emphasized that his decision was driven by a positive mindset.
Mr. Bhatia continued to praise the dedication and loyalty of these employees, highlighting their instrumental role in the company’s progress. He referred to them as “our stars.”
While the cars were handed over a month ago, news of this heartwarming act of appreciation gained traction this month. Mr. Bhatia clarified that the timing, coinciding with Diwali, was serendipitous and not part of a pre-planned celebration.
In a further show of generosity, MitsKart’s owner revealed his plans to extend this initiative, increasing the number of employees receiving such gifts from 12 to 50 in the future.
The employees, who received this unexpected and delightful gift, expressed their pleasant surprise. Interestingly, some of them are not yet skilled in driving, adding an extra layer of significance to their new vehicles.
Tata Punch is an entry-level micro SUV launched in 2021. While specific details about the variant gifted to the employees are not available, the price range for Tata Punch starts from ₹six lakhs. The SUV is equipped with a 1.2-liter naturally aspirated, 3-cylinder petrol engine, generating 86 bhp and 115 Nm of peak torque. Notably, the Tata Punch recently earned a 5-star rating in the Global NCAP crash test, highlighting its safety features and reliability.
