The fresh ensemble, set to be rolled out by the year’s end, signifies more than just a wardrobe change. Air India describes it as a homage to the airline’s illustrious past and a symbol of a promising future, as mentioned in the airline’s statement.

Manish Malhotra, renowned for his creative vision in the fashion world, has crafted this collection for over 10,000 flight crew, ground staff, and security personnel. The uniforms showcase a vibrant blend of three quintessential Indian hues: red, aubergine, and gold, reflecting the spirit of a confident and dynamic new India.

A video shared by Air India’s official account on social media reveals crew members donning the latest uniforms, highlighting the elegance and modernity inherent in the new design.

In their statement, the airline emphasized that the uniform overhaul is a pivotal part of Air India’s broader initiative to modernize its global brand identity.

Air India anticipates implementing the new uniforms for its employees by the culmination of 2023, aligning with its comprehensive modernization plans. The airline recently made a substantial aircraft order of 470 planes from Boeing and Airbus earlier this year, signifying a strategic push toward advancement and expansion.

Expressing his enthusiasm, Campbell Wilson, Air India’s Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director, lauded Manish Malhotra’s innovative vision.
