In a remarkable turn of events, the shares of Heritage Foods, a company founded by N. Chandrababu Naidu, have surged by 55% over the last five days, significantly boosting the wealth of his family members. As of today, the stock is trading at ₹661.25, up from ₹424 on June 3, just before the election results were announced.

Nara Bhuvaneshwari, the wife of the former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister, saw her wealth increase by ₹579 crore, making her the top shareholder of Heritage Foods. According to BSE data, she holds 2,26,11,525 shares in the company. This substantial gain coincides with the strong performance of Naidu’s party, the Telugu Desam Party (TDP), in both the Lok Sabha and Andhra Pradesh assembly elections.

Founded by Chandrababu Naidu in 1992, Heritage Foods is described on its website as “one of the fastest growing public-listed companies in India.” The company operates in two main sectors: dairy and renewable energy. Heritage’s dairy products are widely available across Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, Odisha, NCR Delhi, Haryana, Rajasthan, Uttarakhand, and Uttar Pradesh.

The stock price surge also benefited Nara Lokesh, Naidu’s son, who holds 1,00,37,453 shares in Heritage Foods. His net worth increased by ₹237.8 crore following the stock’s rise.

The TDP’s impressive performance in the recent elections appears to have positively influenced investor sentiment towards Heritage Foods. The party won 16 out of the 17 seats it contested, playing a crucial role in the National Democratic Alliance’s (NDA) overall success. The NDA secured 293 seats in the 543-member Lok Sabha, although the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), a key component of the NDA, won 240 seats, falling short of the 272 needed to form a government on its own.
