Britannia Industries Ltd’s Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Rajneet Singh Kohli, has announced his resignation from the company to explore an external opportunity. Kohli will step down from his role on March 14, 2025, marking two and a half years since his appointment on September 26, 2022.
The company disclosed his resignation in an exchange filing on March 6, 2025. In a letter addressed to Varun Berry, Vice Chairman and Managing Director of Britannia, Kohli expressed gratitude for his tenure and requested a waiver of his notice period.
Kohli’s Statement on His Exit
“After much thought and deliberation, I have reached a tough and difficult decision to resign from the services of the company with effect from March 14, 2025, to pursue an external opportunity,” Kohli wrote.
Reflecting on his time at Britannia, he said, “It has been a privilege to lead the iconic Britannia brand, work with a talented team, and contribute to the company’s success. We have made real progress, and I am proud of what we have achieved together.”
He also thanked the chairman, board members, and executive leadership team for their support, expressing confidence that Britannia is well-positioned for continued growth.
Kohli’s Career Journey
Kohli holds an MBA from the University of Wales, Cardiff, and a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) from Panjab University, Chandigarh. Before joining Britannia, he held leadership roles at Asian Paints, Coca-Cola India, and Domino’s.
His departure marks a significant leadership change at Britannia, and the company is expected to announce a successor in the coming months.
