The case has been registered under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), specifically Sections 387 (pertaining to putting a person in fear of death or grievous harm to commit extortion) and 506(2) (related to criminal intimidation). The Mumbai Police are now aggressively pursuing the sender, Shadab Khan, and have initiated a large-scale manhunt to apprehend the individual responsible for this alarming threat.

In a similar incident last year, Mumbai Police arrested a man from Bihar who had been making anonymous calls threatening to target Mr. Ambani and his family members. The caller had even threatened to “blow up” the HN Reliance Foundation Hospital and the Ambani family’s opulent residence, ‘Antilia,’ located in south Mumbai.
In a particularly alarming incident in 2021, an explosives-laden SUV was discovered in close proximity to Mr. Ambani’s residence in south Mumbai. The owner of the SUV, businessman Hiran, was later found dead in a creek in neighboring Thane on March 5th of that year. This incident had sent shockwaves throughout the nation and raised concerns about the security of high-profile individuals.
