“Elon Musk and Grimes Surprise with the Arrival of Third Child, “Techno Mechanicus””
A forthcoming biography on Elon Musk reveals that the Tesla CEO and Grimes share three children, not two as previously known. Their third child, “Techno Mechanicus” or “Tau,” adds to Musk’s growing family of ten known biological children with three different women.

In an unexpected revelation, a forthcoming biography on Tesla CEO Elon Musk has disclosed that he and his former partner, Grimes, are parents to three children, not two as previously believed. The latest addition to their family is a son named “Techno Mechanicus,” who also goes by the name “Tau.” Despite the revelation, little is known about the child, including his birthdate, and his identity remains shrouded in secrecy.
News of this third child emerged from a review of Elon Musk’s biography, slated for release on September 12, as reported by The New York Times. This revelation adds to Musk’s growing list of biological children, expanding his total to ten with three different women.
Elon Musk’s relationship with the Canadian electro-music star, Grimes (real name Claire Boucher), was characterized by its on-again, off-again nature from 2018 to 2022. While the couple has since parted ways, Grimes has previously described their relationship as “fluid.”
Their first child together, named “X Æ A-Xii” or simply “X,” was born in May 2020. Subsequently, they welcomed their daughter, “Exa Dark Sideræl Musk,” or “Y,” born through surrogacy in December 2021.
Recently, Musk delighted his fans by sharing a first glimpse of the toddler twins he shares with Neuralink Executive Shivon Zilis. The heartwarming image featured Elon Musk sitting cross-legged on a couch with one of the twins, then 16 months old, on his lap. Shivon Zilis lovingly held the other infant. These twins were born in November 2021 in Austin, Texas, shortly before Musk and Grimes welcomed their daughter.
In addition to these children, Elon Musk is a father to six offspring he shares with his ex-wife, Canadian author Justine Wilson. Tragically, their firstborn, Nevada Alexander, passed away at just 10 weeks of age from sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS).
The forthcoming biography about Elon Musk, written by journalist Walter Isaacson, has already generated significant anticipation and interest, becoming a bestseller on Amazon due to preorders. The book promises unprecedented insights into Musk’s life, as Isaacson was granted extraordinary access to the Twitter owner over the past two years.
