Navi, the fintech startup founded by Sachin Bansal, has announced a significant organizational restructuring. As part of this move, Bansal will step down as CEO of Navi Technologies Limited and Navi Finserv Limited while continuing as the Executive Chairman of the Navi Group.
The leadership transition will see Rajiv Naresh take over as the CEO of Navi Technologies, while Abhishek Dwivedi will head Navi Finserv, the company said in an official statement on Friday.
Leadership Transition for Long-Term Growth
The company described this restructuring as a “proactive strategy aimed at scaling operations and focusing on long-term growth.”
Bansal emphasized that the decision marks a “strategic milestone” for the Navi Group.
“It enables us to sharpen our focus on long-term growth. Both Rajiv and Abhishek have played key roles in our growth, and I am confident that we will continue on this upward trajectory as they assume their new roles,” he stated.
According to the company, Rajiv and Abhishek have been key figures within the Navi Group for over six years, holding various leadership positions.
As Executive Chairman, Bansal will now focus on the group’s long-term strategic vision, including:
- Exploring expansion opportunities
- Steering fund-raising and M&A (mergers and acquisitions) efforts
- Enhancing compliance and risk management across the group
Sachin Bansal’s Journey from Flipkart to Navi
Bansal, a well-known entrepreneur, co-founded Flipkart with Binny Bansal (no relation) in 2007. After Flipkart’s $16 billion acquisition by Walmart in 2018, he exited the company and soon after launched Navi—a fintech platform focused on digital lending, insurance, and asset management.
