New-Project-20-1

The holy Amarnath Yatra 2025 is gearing up to begin on July 3, with thousands of devotees expected to embark on the spiritual journey to the revered cave shrine nestled in the Himalayas of Jammu and Kashmir. In preparation for the annual pilgrimage, the administration has ramped up security arrangements and declared all yatra routes as no-fly zones to ensure the safety of pilgrims.

Complete Ban on Aerial Devices Amid Security Concerns

From July 1 to August 10, all aerial activity including drones, balloons, paragliders, and any kind of unmanned aircraft has been strictly prohibited on all yatra paths. The decision was made following a high-level security assessment and is aimed at neutralizing any potential aerial threats.

Massive Security Deployment Under ‘Operation Shiva’

To provide comprehensive protection during the 38-day yatra, security forces have launched ‘Operation Shiva’, a massive multi-agency operation. Armed personnel, surveillance teams, and advanced monitoring systems are being deployed across critical points along the twin routes of Baltal and Pahalgam.

Union Territory Responds to Central Advisory

The Home Department of Jammu and Kashmir issued the aerial restriction order after receiving a detailed advisory from the Union Home Ministry. The directive underlines the importance of maintaining public safety during a time when intelligence inputs have warned of potential threats.

A Sacred Pilgrimage with Tight Vigil

The Amarnath Yatra is considered one of the most sacred Hindu pilgrimages, drawing lakhs of devotees every year. The pilgrimage culminates at the Amarnath Cave, where a naturally formed ice Shiva Lingam appears during the summer months. This year, authorities are leaving no stone unturned to ensure a peaceful and secure environment for the yatris.
