In the vast landscape of India’s social and philanthropic sector, few organizations embody compassion as seamlessly as the Akshya Dharma Foundation. At a time when countless individuals struggle with poverty, disaster, and access to basic healthcare, this Foundation has emerged as a beacon of service, rooted in simple kindness yet expanding into a global vision of humanity.

The story began in 2017, not in boardrooms or offices, but on a roadside. During a journey, Sasi Krishnasamy of Palani and his friend Vince Thomas of Palakkad encountered two hungry children begging for food. Instead of ignoring them, they bought the children a meal and new clothes. That single act of compassion changed their lives forever, leading to the creation of the Ayngaran Foundation in Palani, Tamil Nadu. What started with distributing food, clothing, and study materials in Mayiladumpara soon spread across Tamil Nadu and Kerala, and later extended to Coimbatore, Trichy, Palakkad, and even branches in the United States and United Kingdom.

As their activities grew, so did their responsibilities. To meet larger community needs, the Akshya Dharma Foundation was formed under the parent Ayngaran trust, taking charge of major social and humanitarian projects. In 2025, the Foundation strategically moved its registration to Palakkad, firmly rooting itself in the region it aimed to serve more deeply, while continuing its broader vision of compassion without borders.

Over the years, their presence has been felt in moments of crisis as well as celebration. During the 2018 Kerala floods, relief kits and clothing were distributed to devastated families. When the COVID-19 pandemic disrupted lives, essentials reached households across Palakkad, Malappuram, Coimbatore, Pollachi, and Palani. In the 2024 Wayanad disaster, volunteers from the Foundation provided food, transportation, and comfort to those affected. Beyond emergencies, the team has consistently celebrated unity by ensuring that festivals like Onam, Eid, Diwali, and Christmas were inclusive for underprivileged families. Even in sports, they have backed young athletes with kits and encouragement, proving that empowerment takes many forms.

The most recent milestone was the Onam 2025 grocery distribution programme, where 500 families were supported at the Oackscroft Home Appliances showroom in Kallekad, Palakkad. The event was inaugurated by Palakkad MP V. K. Sreekandan, with Chairman Vince Thomas presiding. Founder Sasi Krishnasamy, Directors Abraham and Ashik Mepparambu, and CEO Niyas kn were also present. For the families, the kits represented more than provisions—they carried dignity, joy, and the feeling of belonging to a larger community.

Looking ahead, the Foundation is preparing for its most ambitious project: establishing a Free Dialysis Centre in Palakkad. This initiative, supported by Oackscroft Home Appliances Company, addresses a critical healthcare need for poor patients who cannot afford life-saving dialysis. It reflects the Foundation’s deep understanding of the struggles faced by marginalized communities and its commitment to finding sustainable solutions. From feeding two hungry children on a roadside to building a global movement for compassion, the journey of Ayngaran Foundation and Akshya Dharma Foundation shows how small gestures can grow into transformative change. Guided by Chairman Vince Thomas, Founder Sasikrishna Swami, and a team of dedicated members, the organization continues to stand by one principle: “No one should suffer alone. Together, we can make compassion eternal.”
