Adani Infrastructure India has announced the appointment of Bimal Dayal as its CEO, signaling a strategic move to bolster the development and execution of a robust pipeline of infrastructure projects. This encompasses ventures in thermal, renewable energy, and green hydrogen initiatives, as revealed in a statement by Adani Energy Solutions Ltd (AESL) on Friday.

Dayal’s mandate involves overseeing the implementation of a diverse range of projects within Adani Infrastructure India. His leadership is expected to chart the course for the company’s ambitious growth trajectory, aligning with an aggressive annual growth rate target exceeding 15 percent.

The executive-level transition, sanctioned by the board of directors of AESL, aims to fortify the Adani portfolio of companies, cementing their position as a leading infrastructure player in India. Recently, the portfolio unveiled plans to invest a staggering ₹7 lakh crore over the upcoming decade, solidifying its status as the country’s premier infrastructure entity.

Under Dayal’s stewardship, Adani Infrastructure India intends to amplify its focus on various sectors, including power transmission, distribution, and smart metering. The existing management team at AESL, spearheaded by Anil Sardana as Managing Director, along with Kandarp Patel now overseeing all verticals of AESL, is poised to drive substantial growth across transmission, distribution, and smart meter segments.

“The leadership changes within AESL are pivotal in supporting the accelerated expansion of our infrastructure business,” stated a representative from the company. “These changes are strategic moves that will further bolster our commitment to fostering sustainable growth in the sector.”

AESL, an integral part of the Adani portfolio, boasts a multifaceted presence spanning power transmission, distribution, smart metering, and cooling solutions. Notably, the organization has an extensive cumulative transmission network of 20,000 circuit kilometers.

The strategic appointment of Bimal Dayal and the reorganization of leadership within AESL underscore the Adani group’s resolute dedication to driving innovation, sustainability, and substantial growth within India’s infrastructure landscape.
