In a remarkable turn of events, a ragpicker in Bengaluru, Salman Sheikh, stumbled upon a fortune when he discovered a bag containing 23 bundles of US dollars worth ₹25 crore in a seemingly ordinary pile of garbage on November 1.
Surprised by his find, Sheikh wisely held onto the valuable bundles and brought them to the attention of his boss, Bappa, on November 5. Recognizing the significance of the discovery, Bappa promptly reached out to social activist Kali Mullah, who, in turn, alerted Bengaluru Police Commissioner B Dayananda.
