Grand Durga Navami Feast at Gopinathpur Durga Bari, Bankura Serves 500 Needy People

Gopinathpur, Bankura – 01 October 2025 – On the sacred occasion of Durga Navami 2025, the Durga Bari Pandal at Gopinathpur Brahman Pada, Bankura became a hub of devotion and service as Dr. Sailen Chaudhuri organised a grand Durga Devi Prasad feast for nearly 500 needy individuals.
The initiative, held during the Navami celebrations of Durga Puja, aimed to combine spirituality with social responsibility. The People were served traditional Durga Prasad, including khichdi, mixed vegetables, sweets, and other festive delicacies.

Dr. Chaudhuri shared his inspiration behind the event:
“Durga Puja is not just about worship, it is about sharing the blessings of Maa Durga with everyone. By organising this Prasad feast on Navami, my wish was to bring happiness to those in need and ensure they too feel the divine grace of the festival.”
Local residents and volunteers actively supported the event, ensuring smooth distribution of food and maintaining the festive spirit of the Pandal. The beautifully decorated Durga Bari, illuminated with lights and filled with devotional songs, added a sacred aura to the feast.
At the conclusion of the event, Dr. Chaudhuri appreciated and acknowledged the tremendous hard work of the members of the Chatterjee family of Brahman Pada, Gopinathpur, Bankura, whose dedication and support played a vital role in making the feast a grand success.
Community leaders praised the gesture as a model of compassion and community service during Durga Puja, highlighting how such initiatives bring people together across social lines.
The event concluded with collective prayers to Goddess Durga for peace, prosperity, and well-being of all.
