Vienna Hintze, a 29-year-old from the United States, has made headlines for leaving her corporate career to start a flower truck business that now earns her around $16,000 (approximately ₹13 lakh) per month. Hintze, who holds a degree from Syracuse University, left her jobs in advertising and marketing in New York City to pursue a more fulfilling career.

In an interview with CNBC Make It, Hintze shared her journey from the corporate world to entrepreneurship. After running her own digital marketing agency at the age of 24, she realized that her career lacked purpose. Feeling unfulfilled despite significant changes in her life, Hintze sought advice from her therapist, who encouraged her to list what she wanted from her ideal job.

Hintze’s ideal job included working outdoors, interacting with people, and owning an old pickup truck. This led her to start Main Street Flower Truck in August 2023. Since its inception, her flower truck business has generated approximately $44,000 (around ₹36 lakh) in revenue, with monthly earnings peaking at $16,000 in May 2024.

Hintze emphasized the joy she finds in her work and how it translates into financial success. “If you’re living with your happiness, the money will follow,” she remarked. Despite this, she noted that her income fluctuates due to the seasonal nature of flowers, with higher earnings during peak times such as Valentine’s Day and Mother’s Day.

Hintze’s inspiration for her flower truck business came from her parents. Her father, a former firefighter, used to commute in a pickup truck, while her mother’s love for gardening kept their backyard vibrant and blooming. Hintze fondly recalls these experiences and their influence on her decision to start the flower truck business.

Her story underscores the growing trend of individuals pursuing careers that align with their personal passions and values, proving that following one’s dreams can lead to both personal satisfaction and financial success.
