In the heart of Delhi, amidst the cacophony of city life, Priyanshu Jha is on a mission—to bridge the gap between culture and journalism. At 24, this young journalist is making waves with his unconventional approach to storytelling.

Hailing from the vibrant town of Madhubani in Bihar, Priyanshu’s journey to the world of journalism was a serendipitous one. Raised in Ranchi, Jharkhand, he was captivated by the magic of movies from a young age. However, it was a personal experience that steered him towards a different path.

“I saw the struggles firsthand,” he recalls, his gaze introspective. “The dreams shattered, the relentless pursuit of stardom… I knew I had to do something different.”

And so, Priyanshu traded the allure of acting and modeling for the grit of journalism. Enrolling in a Journalism and Mass Communication program in Delhi, he found his calling. Inspired by the stories of everyday heroes, he set out to bring their narratives to life.

The birth of The Mediawala Express was a culmination of this vision. A news channel with a twist, it focuses on youth culture, grassroots reporting, and the untold stories of the streets. Priyanshu’s own experiences as a young journalist navigating the industry inform every aspect of the channel.

“It’s about giving a voice to the voiceless,” he explains, his passion palpable. “To showcase the rich tapestry of our culture, the struggles, and the triumphs.”

Despite the challenges, Priyanshu remains undeterred. The Mediawala Express is not just a news channel—it is a movement, a celebration of diversity and inclusivity in journalism.

“As journalists, we have a responsibility,” he asserts. “To shine a light on the unseen, to tell stories that matter.”
